Interesting article http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/P102152.asp - on the shortage of fresh water sources in India & the world and how investors can profit by investing in such funds.
I was watching another documentary on the PBS channel and it had another interesting/different view poin - How activists are protesting against governments who are privatizing water treatment plants in developing countries.
So the question is should water be commoditized? Isn't water a basic necessity of every human/living being?
"Water is blue gold; it's terribly precious," Maude Barlow, chair of the Council of Canadians, told the Monitor. Not too far in the future, we're going to see a move to surround and commodify the world's fresh water. Just as they've divvied up the world's oil, in the coming century, there's going to be a grab."
